Turf Specialties, based in St Charles, LA, has maintained greens and fairways for golf courses in the Houston and Louisiana markets for over 20 years. The owner, looking to cut back his operation found one of his customers interested in taking over the Houston portion of the business.  He engaged Certified Business Brokers to determine a fair market price, negotiate a final selling price with the buyer, prepare all necessary sales documents and project management and interstate closing transaction with both parties’ lawyers in Louisiana and Texas. The business transition was particularly smooth and cooperative as both parties agreed to use the “Turf Specialties” brand in both of their company names and forward sales leads based on their respective territories.
