SOLD: ISO Certified Precision Machine Shop Northwest of Houston

This ISO 9001-2008 certified precision machine shop, established in 1980, provides a variety of custom fabrication and welding services from its 24,000 square-foot manufacturing facility northwest of Houston. The Company’s primary services are precision machining for mid to large size products with tight tolerances, custom welding and fabrication of assemblies utilizing certified welders on staff, working with manufacturing customers to keep their machinery running by repairing or machining worn or broken parts and repairing hydraulic cylinders. Approximately 40% of the Company’s sales are from their local area and 55% of sales are from the Greater Houston Metro Area. Customers cover a broad range of industries including Manufacturing, Construction, Food Packaging, Agriculture, Transportation and Oil & Gas. Very experienced, stable work force, systems are in place for processes, training, employee policies and customer relations. Daily operations are managed through a robust job-flow tracking software system from initial purchase order to completion. Digital documentation records for  employee time and materials used through each step of the manufacturing process. The software also captures historical information which produces reliable data to use for bidding new jobs.

The Buyer, a family-owned investment group, has purchased three business with us within the last three years.  This is the 16th business they've purchased.  They own businesses in manufacturing, flooring, catering/venues, golf cart retail/repair and training companies.

SOLD: Locally Famous Sports Bar & Grill in Houston Area

Like Cheers, Coaches is a joint where people know the names of the north Houston patrons who swamp this place to observe sports (on three big-screen TVs), as well as participate in sports (well, recreation activities at least, with pool tables and a game room). A new 10-year lease was recently signed to ensure the longevity of the business.

The buyer has managed his own full-service hotels with sales of
2.4 million or higher. His specialty has been in food service for events and receptions. He plans to operate the establishment full time. The Seller, on the other hand, operated as an semi-absentee owner, letting the management staff run the place.

SOLD: Liquor Store in Growing Spring/Woodlands

This retail establishment has been in operation for 13 years in the Spring Woodlands area in an upscale neighborhood shopping center with several restaurants, a wine bar, dentist, daycare center, and several other venues.

Some seller financing was part of the deal.

Chris Treleaven listed the business and sold it.

SOLD: Houston Manufacturer & Wholesaler of Filtration Products

This company is a leading, broad-line supplier of commercial, manufacturing, and industrial dust collection and filtration products with the most comprehensive inventory in the industry. Their diverse customer base consists of manufacturing, chemical processing plants, energy sector, large commercial buildings, healthcare and hospitality. The majority of their customers are process oriented and require their filters to function in their business, therefore enabling repeat business and recurring revenues. None of their clients represent more than 6-7% of their revenues. They have experienced increased revenue and profitability year after year due to a solid product, superior customer service, swift, on-time delivery and a good marketing/advertising program. 
The buyer, with a BA from Notre Dame and a MBA from University of Chicago, is an M&A investment banking professional and had several years with private equity investments. He now purchases companies of his own for long-term growth.
